How does the French Riviera Pass work?

The French Riviera Pass uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology: you can access your site thanks to an NFC card simply by scanning it with a reader to visit a site or use public transport.

If you have chosen an e-ticket, you will receive the pdf version within an hour of booking: then all you have to do is present it as you enter each site.

How long is my French Riviera Pass valid?

Depending on the choice of duration made at the time of purchase — 24, 48 or 72 hours — your card is valid for one, two or three consecutive days from the first use.
For example, if you use a 24hr pass for the first time at 2pm on Saturday, it remains valid until 2pm on Sunday.

Can the French Riviera Pass be used by disabled persons accompanied by helpers?

Can I visit the same site twice my French Riviera Pass?

No, only one free visit of each site is possible with the French Riviera Pass.

One exception: Nice Le Grand Tour.

Are these sites open to the public all year?

Yes for most sites, except certain holidays. To avoid being disappointed and prepare your stay as well as possible, it is best to refer to the guide provided with your French Riviera Pass, contact the sites you wish to visit directly or contact our agents by e-mail, by phone or at the tourist information offices, who will do their best to help you.

Must certain tours be booked in advance?

Yes, some workshops or guided tours must be booked in advance. To avoid being disappointed and prepare your stay as well as possible, it is best to refer to the guide provided with your French Riviera Pass, phone the sites you wish to visit directly (see list below), or contact our agents by e-mail, by phone or at the Visitors Bureaus; they will do their best to help you.

I want to buy my French Riviera Pass on the internet: how and where to collect it?

For a French Riviera Pass without transport, you can choose between:

- a free e-ticket (downloadable and printable pdf version)
- free collection in the Nice Visitors Bureau public offices, EXCEPT at the Airport Nice Côte d'Azur or
- postal mail to your home address

For a French Riviera Pass with transport, the e-ticket option is not currently available.

How much time do I have to collect my French Riviera Pass after having purchased it on the Internet?

You can collect your French Riviera Pass as soon as you have received confirmation of your purchase by e-mail.

How much time do I have to collect my French Riviera Pass?

Once you have received the e-mail confirming your purchase, you have 1 year to collect your French Riviera Pass.

How much time do I have before starting to use my French Riviera Pass?

You must start using your French Riviera Pass within 2 years after having collected it.

What means of payment are accepted (in person, on the Internet) for buying my French Riviera Pass?

Is the French Riviera Pass transferable? Do I have to give my name when I buy it?

To benefit from the many possibilities of free access and other advantages offered, it is necessary to buy one French Riviera Pass per person.
The Pass is no longer transferable once it has been collected by the final user, who may be different from the buyer, in particular when purchased online. Only the usual information on the payer must be provided on our secure payment platform.
So it is not necessary to give your name to acquire a French Riviera Pass.

If I want to make a gift, can I ask to have the French Riviera Pass sent to another address?

Yes, when you buy a French Riviera Pass, you can give us a billing address which is different from the address for delivery.

What is the cost of sending the French Riviera Pass by post and how long does it take?

Since the amount of time depends on the postal service, depending on the destinations and the dates of your stay, we advise you to collect your Pass once you are in Nice.

What are the criteria for “children”?

From what age is it advantageous to buy a French Riviera Pass for my child?

There is only one price for the French Riviera Pass; “children’s” rates are defined by each service provider. To determine whether buying a French Riviera Pass for your child is advantageous for you, it is best to consult our listing of “children’s” rates practised by service providers.

Do you offer discounts for groups, students, seniors?

No, we offer only a professional rate (10% discount) for groups or students when the Pass is paid for by a company, association or university, in which case it must be requested by e-mail at pass@otcnice.com.

What is the difference between the sites and the advantages with the French Riviera Pass?

The sites included in the French Riviera Pass are cultural and recreational sites to which your Pass entitles you to free access for the entire duration you selected (24, 48 or 72 hours).

In parallel, for a period of 1 month after the first use of your French Riviera Pass, you can enjoy discounts and advantages with our partners, regardless of the duration chosen for your French Riviera Pass.

Transport option

What transport is included with this French Riviera Pass option?

This package provides free travel for the entire duration of the French Riviera Pass on our Métropole Nice-Côte d'Azur bus and tram transport network.

NB: the package does not include transport to Antibes or Monaco.

Can I use the French Riviera Pass with the transport option to/from the Airport?

Yes, you can use your French Riviera Pass with transport option both to and from Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport.

When I use my French Riviera Pass, does this also trigger the transport package or is it the other way around?

No. When you buy your French Riviera Pass, if you choose the transport option, it will be triggered according to two distinct periods of use, each triggered with the first use.

For example, with a 48hr French Riviera Pass, you can visit a museum at 2pm without using public transport until the next day at 2pm: you will then have another 24 hours of free access to partner sites and 48 hours of free transport!
